We recognize that collectors are custodians of our cultural heritage and created CURA Art to offer support on their journey. Through our international network of expertise, we care for and manage collections, helping to preserve and promote works of art. Whether you are a collector, a curator or an advisor, we offer an unparalleled collections management service.

Here, we introduce the range of services CURA Art offers, using our principle of the

Six Cs of Collections Management

"If you own a piece of art, it's your duty to take care of it for the future."

Valeria Napoleone

Below are some examples of how we’ve worked with our clients, and how we could work with you.

  • Traveling Exhibition Loans

While managing a large collection displayed throughout private residences and corporate spaces within the US, we regularly oversee the loans to various institutions. The utmost care and consideration is taken to ensure the artworks are safe throughout their journey to multiple international exhibitions and the documentation is logged in a database, ensuring each movement is accounted for.

  • Collection Overview & Strategy Report

We were contacted by a collector who wanted to do so purposefully and with greater intention. We worked with him to provide an overview of his current collection, identify themes that were important to him and establish aims for the future. This was formatted into a report that will help inform and guide his collection and wider engagement with the art world in the future. We will continue to support the collector to navigate the art world, making introductions to artists, advisors, galleries and institutions that are in line with his ambitions.

  • Pallant House Gallery Loan

We managed and processed the loan of a work from a client’s collection to Pallant House Gallery. When we first started cataloguing the collection in 2022, and engaging with the collector about his aims, we realized the significance of many of the works collected and invited curators, specialists and institutions to visit. This led to the inclusion of a work by Modern British artist Keith Vaughan in the gallery’s ‘The Shape of Things: Still Life in Britain’ in 2024. Private collections are often relied upon by curators for creating a fuller picture of an artist or theme.

  • Authentication of Collection

We supported an appraisal firm with the necessary documentation they needed to carry out a full appraisal of a collection for insurance purposes. Informed by further research into an artwork, we worked together to contact the artist’s foundation and confirm the authenticity of the artwork so that it can be included in the Catalogue Raisonné. The logistics of shipping the work internationally was also managed throughout this process.

  • Residency in Client's Home

We have worked with clients to engage with contemporary artists in direct and meaningful ways. One such example is implementing an artist residency in a client’s home. Providing time and space for an artist is one of the greatest gifts to any artist. Working with collectors who want to support in meaningful ways has directly informed the creation of our patron-powered project, The Residency.

  • Printed Catalogue

We worked with a client to convert the digital inventory we had created into a printed catalogue of his collection. This involved thorough research, engagement of specialists and curators, and formatting of information to create a tailored catalogue. This allows him to share the collection with others in an accessible and engaging way, and brings together the years of his interest and dedication to the subject.

  • Oral History of Collections

Often collections are immensely personal and full of stories. We record individuals talking about the artworks that they have acquired so that these stories can live on, creating a legacy for the collection.

  • International Hotel Curation

We work with an international hotel group at their properties in Los Angeles to organize exhibition programming and logistics. This contract includes overseeing all loans, carrying out condition reports and installation.
